Looking at the Magnaflow Install Instructions, picture #1 is stock muffler, picture below step #3 is the new Magnaflow, which looks to be approx. 4" to 6" shorter. Although advertised as "Moderate" sound levels, with the straight-through performance design + eliminating the resonator, I am not surprised you get resonance inside the cab. Is the resonance only at certain speed or RPM's? Did you notice any improvement in acceleration? I only ask because I cant hear my exhaust at any speed or RPM, windows up or down, all I hear is the engine. I was thinking of cutting in a new muffler for a little more sound.

That's the one. It's made well, the quality was great but the sound is no bueno for me. I wanted a good stainless exhaust with a little extra noise but this thing feels louder inside then out.

ANYTHING from Magnaflow drones you to death. They make their muffler cases super thin and possibly single wall, so the noise escapes the muffler itself and penetrates the vehicle floor and makes an ear killing buzz. Its the worst thing ever. Most if us call them "MAGNA-DRONES".

I pulled one off my Dodge Hemi, same thing it was insane loud in the car, but not loud at all outside by the tailpipes. I put a Corsa on and it was silent in the car, and was Nasty loud by the tailpipes.

We ran Corsa hi-flow cats & mufflers, or header-back systems, in the Viper ACR's during the Michelin Challenge Series races 2001-2008. Only slightly louder inside, but wicked load out the back when WOT.

Exactly how they should be! :)

You can get that audio system thing that makes your Expy sound like a V12.
Nice thing is only YOU hear it, not the whole surrounding area.
But that probably defeats the purpose, eh?

I love Corsa. Had their stuff on my last 3 jeeps. Anyone ever tried their f150 setup on one of these? At this point I'd love to just swap the muffler from the MF to the Corsa and just keep the rest, but my guess is the mufflers aren't even close to the same dimensions. Or maybe the cgs muffler? If anyone has the cgs cat back I'd love pics, muffler dimensions and possibly sound clips or descriptions.

Corsa has no listings for the Expy, but several for the F-150. Interestingly, their other brand DB/Real Truck, shows their F-150 system at the low end of the sound spectrum. Unfortunately, neither list the muffler only as a purchase, they only list cat-back systems. Might be worth a call to see if they sell only the quieter or Touring sound muffler.

I don't think CORSA's sells just their mufflers. They know they have good stuff and make you buy an extra system!

Sadly they don't. they sell their custom car mufflers but those aren't anywhere near the right size for these. I'm really surprised no one has any experience with the CSG setup on here. I've seen the videos but they are all exterior only and don't describe the interior drone effect.

I found one of Corsa's last remaining 4" diesel mufflers they offered separately. I bought a MBRP stainless full exhaust and threw their muffler in the trash and welded the big Corsa into the MBRP piping on my Duramax. Its silent in the cab, but you can't hear outside by the tailpipe! lol. :)

Tunage, you got me a never ending muffler search. I've got to get under the Expy to take some measurements this weekend. I am thinking about (2) of these Corsa Classic vehicle mufflers welded end 2 end for a no drone resonance. Would certainly have the flow characteristics being basically straight through. Come on Saturday.

If you read that closely, those are gonna be LOUD! They're specifically designed to be loud. But if that's ok with you, then you'll be good.

Well crap.
I talked to Corsa today, they will Not sell the F150 Muffler Only #20FF2027, even if we had 20 of us interested. The search continues... Borla, Bassani, Dynomax...

Hey Tunage, or anyone that has changed their muffler/exhaust, would it be possible to get some pics looking through the stock muffler? Front to back, and back to front, please.

Yeah, I will take some tomorrow for you, I still have it lying around.

I have all of the dimensions of the MF muffler, they are nearly identical to the stock actually. Will also post that tomorrow.

I wish someone has experience with the resonance on the cgs. The exterior sound is great on it. I found a video of the 2018 expy with cgs from lge-cts group. Sounds great outside.

-------edit----------

Measurements:
Factory muffler is an offset/offset muffler. Roughly 26" long, 7.5" high, and 12.5" wide. The input is a solid 5.5" long, with a single non-jointed output. After looking through it, you can definitely tell it's a large, probably S shaped baffle design with no visible packing but you know it's between the set of perforated baffles.

MF muffler is also an offset/offset design with dimensions that are roughly 22" long, but 6" high, by 12" wide.

Images are added. The tricky thing with these is the shape/design of the hangers, they are difficult to line up and make without some really good metal tools.

Thank Gents. I got so feed up with the muffler search, I called 5 star last Friday and ordered a tuner. I'm not giving up on the muffler, just back to the drawing board.
I do wonder if cutting a muffler, and leaving the stock resonator will help any with the drone.

Gentlemen, happy to report, I had my exhaust guy cut in this Borla muffler, from their Touring (quietest) series. It is 2.75" center Inlet/Outlet, with a 3'' core. Initial inside testing: totally silent when no load/boost, and no drone to my ears. Yes, you can hear it, a low, deep tone similar to a diesel/Powerstroke with after market exhaust. Totally silent on cruise control, 55, 65, 75 & 85, then a low, deep sound when inclines occur. More noticeable at WOT, but not obtrusive to myself, or Ms. Sensitive Ears (wifey). No idea about sound outside. I have videos of stock exhaust starting. I'll try to get some with this mod.

It got me to thinking, what if it is too noticeable inside, and I thought of a muffler blanket, which I've used at race tracks when we exceed sound limits.
Tunage, wonder if something similar would reduce your done issue? https://www.summitracing.com/parts/dei-010455
