Yeah but all those vehicles its in the exact same line in the BCM so that's the reason why its the 2nd digit.

I don't know if it's for all Ford/Lincoln vehicles, but some Explorers and F-150s have the Secure Idle at BdyCM 726-42-01. I thought I had seen somewhere that's not the case for the F-250 folks.

Do you have any suggestions of where to look next for Secure Idle in our Expys? Thanks.

Finally got a chance to play with FORScan. What I did tonight.

1. Back up all modules as-builds, stored on Hard Drive and a copy on the Cloud.
2. Modified Seatbelt reminder for both driver and passenger to off.
3. DRL - 50% low beam...will have to verify this one tomorrow during the day...lol.

Trying to find some additional info on how to add-on remote start. I think I have the process.

1. Purchase the correct key blank key fobs.
2. Take them down to Ford or Locksmith to get them cut...not programmed.
3. In FORScan, change the setting to turn on the feature.
4. Program the keys via PAT.

Just nervous to give it a go so it may be a few weeks as I want to find some more resources on the topic.

About to pull the gun on some key fobs to see if I can add remote start to my expy. These look the same to me. If someone wouldn't mind taking a look to ensure I am getting the correct ones for a 2017 XLT I would appreciate it.

Both of those look identical to my XLT keys. Don’t see any issues with the listings. You can always make sure you can program before getting them cut, so if they don’t work they’ll be easy to return.

Those are not the remote start key for a 2015-2017.

If I'm not mistaken, to program them you have to put them in the ignition switch and be able to turn them to program them.

It’s been a while since I read it, but doesn’t FORScan allow you to program keys without needing to do the ignition trick?

I don’t believe any XLT came with the push-button start. Mine is a 202A package truck and still has a regular key.

I wonder if key fob type explains why some 2017 Expy's are able to unlatch the rear glass via the fob or keypad and some can not- like the ones with push button start and/or the gen 2 PEPS keyfob.

I think it was a feature of the older models. With power lift gate Ford seems to have done a way with that feature in favor of the button on the back of the lift gate.

I think you’re right...suspect the Expys with the Intelligent Access Key/Proximity key cannot use the keypad trick of pushing the 5/6 button to unlock the glass...only those with the IKT/key can unlatch the glass at the keypad.

Okay, purchased the keys today. Should be here in a few days. I will keep you posted if I was able to add remote start to my XLT.
