I have a 2019 limited HD tow standard size. When I fill up the tank it says I have 318 miles to Empty. Is this correct? does your standard sized expy's show the same mileage to empty after a full fill?

Read the book. Range is based on your current gas mileage. If you're doing all city, it'll be low. If you're on a trip doing all highway, it'll be much higher. On trips, mine is close to 500. It'll adjust as your driving (city or hwy) changes. Sounds like you don't understand this is a 6000 pound brick going down the road. You want gas mileage, buy a Corolla.I have a 2019 limited HD tow standard size. When I fill up the tank it says I have 318 miles to Empty. Do you tow? If your recent mpg avg is low, your mte will be low.I have a 2019 limited HD tow standard size. When I fill up the tank it says I have 318 miles to Empty. Is this correct? does your standard sized expy's show the same mileage to empty after a full fill?
I dont tow, but thank you for clarifying . I didnt realize the "miles to empty" just after fill up would be a lower number if based on history MPG. So if i only drove in the highway and getting better MPG average the miles to empty would be alot higher after fill up. I see..Read the book. Range is based on your current gas mileage. I have litteraly Nothing in the truck. Just my 225 pound fat a**. I bought the truck 2 months ago at 56,800 miles and it now has 58,200. I should go "test drive" another 19 standar expy and monitor the Fuel Economy display while driving and see if I get similar mpg with same driving style.I don't know if you just bought this truck or not. Assuming it's got more than 10K miles, maybe you should change the air filter. Maybe the spark plugs. Are the windows open or closed? What do you carry around inside all the time? My wife carries a box that must weigh 20 pounds with shoes, towels, jumper cables, a couple of wrenches and screwdrivers, ice scrapers, etc. (You can see her fathers influence there). It's not a lot, but it all adds up. IDK, it does sound odd to be that low, but mileage will vary.
That's shocking, I'm getting much higher [indicated] MPG in the 2022 Explorer XLT (2.3EcoBoost) loaner, than I see in our Max Ltd.Just figured I would add my $0.02. I just had a 2022 Explorer LTD Hybrid as a loaner while my 2018 Plati was in getting some work done. I can honestly say that the Explorer was returning approx the same mileage as my Expy. Crazy...and I wasn't pounding the Explorer at all. The stupid Eco and EV coach is kinda of addicting lol. But I was very surprised that the Plati was in the same ballpark as the Hybrid. That is all.

I've been thinking about buying my mom's 21 Explorer Plat off of her since she never drives it. Not sure how the 3.0TT compares to the 2.3T in efficiency.
