So using these updates, I'm going to obtain these bulbs for my XLT

Aftermarket
Halogen LED
Low. HB3 9005
High. H9 H11
Fog. 9140 H10
FYI - I ordered the 9140/H10 bulbs (linked below) for the fog lights in my XLT and they wouldn't fit on the driver's side. There's a metal bracket directly behind the bulb mount that prevents installation. I ended up ordering H8 LED's instead and they went right in and look great.

These would NOT fit:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H8VILFE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

These DO fit:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075MWXVDQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Also for reference, I ordered these HB3 for low beams:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077B7GJ5J/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And these H11 for high beams:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077BT6M6Z/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They look 100% better than the factory halogens! I haven't driven much at night since install, but they are much brighter than factory. The cutoff pattern remains too low, imho, but there's a lot more light output.

FYI - I put H8's in my fogs. I ordered regular 9140/H10's and they didn't fit. There's a bracket behind the driver's side fog light mount that prevents a straight bulb from going in. 9140/H10's might fit, but make sure you get the kind with the 90 degree bend and connector on the bottom.

I posted this info earlier, and included links, but I think my post was flagged for moderation because I'm new here. Maybe because I added links.

Most factory LED headlights are a sealed unit where the “bulbs” are soldered to the circuit boards.

Long life means not user or dealer serviceable and will have you replacing the entire housing.

Seems like an excellent opportunity for an after-market shop to refurbish the sealed units at a fraction of the cost, or to upgrade the factory LED bulbs.

These XLT Lowbeams are dangerous even now with beamtech LEDs in could barely see tire pieces on the highway in time to dodge ran some small pieces over. The high work awesome but driving on highway can barely use them. If a coyote runs out are anything else farther than 50 feet going to get hit if only low beams on. Just bought Hikari lows hope they are a little better driving to Utah back country highway in two weeks and don't want to cream any wildlife.

Please add some notes about how you gained access to the light bulbs and any problems encountered and solved while doing it

You just unscrew one screw to access a flap in wheel fender liner and reach up unscrew bulb then unclip it. Its a tight fit for both hands and I did the clipping and unclipping mostly by feel.

Just to get back with you all bulbs came in, but have been getting off work late haven't had time to swap. I'll do pics tonight of the beamtech , then swap one bulb tomorrow when I'm off to hikari and do another pic to see if we see a difference.
