Help lift on 2001 xlt 2wd no air suspention

Okay I have a 2wd 2001 xlt without an air suspension in the rear and I have no clue when it comes to lifts... Can someone tell me how. Can get an easy/cheap 2-3 more inches on my truck I honestly believe my truck sits lower then most expos idk y but two of my buddy's had 1999 Eddie bouer < excuse my specialness and it seemed like theirs both sat about an inch or so higher then mine... I have a midget expy :idiot:

2wd usually does sit a bit lower vs 4wd, I know my 2wd hemi ram sat about 2 inches lower than a 4x4 ram.

As far as lift, you could probably achieve the height you want with a coil spacer lift and its fairly inexpensive.

This is your thread^^. Despite the title, he did get it lifted and it looks good. I always thought 2wd's ran a weaker set of torsion bars in front but now I don't think that is the case. I think they have springs in front too right? Living in MN I personally have never even seen a 2WD expy, so I don't know their suspension that well. The owner of that thread above should be able to answer your questions.

Mike is right though, 2WD cars always sit lower than 4x4 for clearance reasons. Not too many people wheeling their 2WD, so they put it on the ground to improve aerodynamics etc.
