Yes, because we were killing Lightnings with our ProChargers. Plus they are easier to bolt on, upgradable to a RACE SERIES BLOWER and tunable. I have members on another forum that have run the same systems for over a decade now.
Once I break the blower in and change the oil, I will go with a 255 lph in tank pump, 42-60lb injectors (Depending on data logging), a 90-95mm MAF and an aggressive tune. Then I will run 93 octane (Currently run an FMU, stock 19# injectors, and 89 octane QT gas). I currently am running an out of the box D-1SC at 12 PSI with a 3-core intercooler. Charge temps are ambient, and discharge air temps are as high as 180 degrees under FULL boost. The AIR TO AIR unit is more efficient than a liquid to air piece at this level (Street/Strip).
SO, yes, it will be upgraded with fuel mods and I am having a "0" restriction inlet duct fabricated now that will pick up another 2 PSI. Then will look at the exhaust. Blowers are more sensitive to INLET restriction than exhaust restriction.
More to come. When I have time I will create a thread on it.
Thanks!
