The eLSD is optional on the SPP. Mine has it as it came with the HD trailer tow package. Not all SPP have that eLSD option, but it works effin awesome! 3L axle code on the SPP only means you got the big axle, but doesn’t necessarily mean you got the eLSD with it.

From the 2022 U.S. Order Guide for the XL, XLT, Limited (including Stealth Performance Edition), King Ranch, and Platinum model:

Note that HD Towing includes the 3.73 Non-Limited-Slip Rear Axle, but HD Towing and Control Trac with eLSD are separate options. The eLSD is not included with HD Towing.

On the Timberline, ControlTrac with eLSD (3.73 Electronic Limited Slip Differential) is standard. HD Towing is an option.

The 2023 and 2024 Order Guides are the same for these options.

I gotta toss this into the conversation. After buying various car/truck brands for the past 60 or so years I've found that manufacturers change or discontinue equipment, name, availability, application and name of options and make up of packages as the model year progress's. The only way to be sure of what you are buying is the window sticker. As it is a as delivered listing of the contents of the car or truck that dealer pays for. Manufactures publications can be pretty much useless after release of the vehicle. Online stuff is even more inaccurate. Just my opinion.

My oh my where's the emoji to show my head is exploding. This one works.

For a non-car guy like myself, had I been faced with whether I wanted this-or-that I'd have had no clue how to proceed. Thankfully my Timberline seems to have all the good stuff (and yes I do use it for towing a travel trailer).
