I was at the junkyard today and found a 1997 Ford expedition EDDI BAUER in there and about cried it still had a good running 5.4 liter engine and if the odometer was correct it said around 88,000 (don't remember exact) but i'm going to say it was a theft that the junkyard bought because both doors were cut off wires and all and half the dash was ripped appart for the stereo and had busted windows.

well here are the sad photos, enjoy :(

Ya it is nice and evey wednesday is Half price wednesdays here, but ya its usually pretty nice here you will find parts thrown around or on the ground but they have a guy in a stratus that drives around patroling the wrecking yard trying to make sure people arent stilling parts or beating up the cars, but the best part is when they are closing and kicking people out they have an old crownvic police car with the light bar still on it and work with the megaphone speaker telling people to leave, but when i found this Expy it wasnt there long about 10 minutes after I took the photos it got picked up and taken away and put in a pile of cars for scrap =( but did you know finding a tailgate in decent shape for a 97 Nissan Hardbody truck is almost impossable?

I went to a local yard to see if I could find a set of lower axle bars and found that they had one matching year Expedition. The arms looked good so they called for the guy with the forklift to come get it so they could pull them. It had what looked like bullet holes in the fender, hood and drivers door (about 6 holes).
I said to the kid "those look like bullet holes"
He said "yeah, it was a drug dealer's car. He ran from the police and there was a shootout"
I hadn't heard about any recent "shoot outs" so I asked "wow! Where did this happen"

The kid said "we found a picture in the glove box of some black people, so we just assumed thats what happened".

3 more Expy findes in the junkyard, different wrecking yard as the white expy I found

1998 black Eddi Bauer was involved in a rollover.

1998 gold XLT was hit way hard in the left rear, as you can see it's caved in pretty bad.

2000 maroon Eddi Bauer was hit in the front end.

Why is it when i find these in the wrecking yard they are missing the engine and trans even the f150's of the same year have them missing? the black one was fully complete with the left fender and hood removed and no engine just curious is all.

Ya they were pretty bad but the gold and black expy were pretty much all there and complete minus where it was crunched in and missing the engine and trans so there were alot of great parts on it but as for the maroon Eddi Bauer was pretty much stripped of every single piece.
