Hello guys,
I'm in Seattle. My 1998 expedition 5.4 liter caught on fire. It was very minor. The fuel rail cracked. I replaced the wires and hoses myself but now it's backfireing when I go to start it up and won't start. I really need this thing to run but have very little money. Can anyone out there help me repair this or tell me how I can repair it? I'd really appreciate any help. Thank you. Mandi

It sounds like you may have burned a rubber vacuum line?

Can you take some pics of the affected area?

Did replace or repair the harness? If you repaired it, how did you repair it? Which set of wires were replaced?
