Saw this posted on the lighting forum.

The torque converter let go and the tranny fluid ignited on the exhaust.

As bad as it looked they say the truck is ok. It sounds as if they got the fire put out fairly quick. Would have really sucked if it happened on the street and the outcome could have been far worse.

Rumor is the converter was recently rebuilt and the welds failed...

I wonder who built the converter. Luckily the truck can be fixed. Hopefully the converter builder helps the lighnting owner out

He would not say but did say that they were going to take care of the expenses to repair/replace.
