Hi all, got linked over to this forum and it looks pretty good here. Lots of good info. New to Expos but not new to Fords, I have plenty of experience with the old 5.0 and some with the more recent 4.6s. Picked up an 03 Eddie Bauer with 78k on the clock. Its got everything except satnav and rear entertainment. Has the heavy duty tow package which was a big deal to me and also is coilover suspension which I prefer over the air system.
I do all my own work so in the next week or so I'll be doing ALL fluids including draining/filling the torque converter, rear diff, power steering, bleeding brakes, everything. Will carefully change the plugs on a cold engine with a torque wrench going to minimum spec so I don't bugger anything up there. Also need to do the front left wheel bearing at some point in the near future.
Plan after that is to just drive it for a few months to make sure I don't have any surprises and then slowly start to mod. Full exhaust, cold air, pullies, electric fan, 3/2" body lift to raise and level it, aftermarket satnav/dvd and rear entertainment and finally at some point I will look into the Lightning supercharger swap.
