Was wondering if Ford switched 22" tires on the SPP. I have one on order and hoping to pull the tires off and mount them on another set of 22s.
I've seen one SPP 304A Max on a dealer lot near me. It was wearing the General Grabbers.

Looks great, I’m doing matte ppf on ours when we get it and will de-badge the hood and rear lift gate. Also planning ceramic tint all around and on the sunroof.
Tinting my sunroof made the biggest difference, you won’t regret it!

Hey all, I picked up a 22 max and was going to tint it. When you say ceramic, which tint brand you going with?

I did Xpel tint. We keep our shade open most of the time. But we do close it if it’s really windy out as it’s a fair amount quieter with the shade closed. Also close it if it’s really hot and will be sitting outside a while.

In stock as of this post. I saw this one in the flesh on Friday. This is a tiny dealer in the middle of nowhere.... the Owner/Salesman told me it was dealer stock and not spoken for as of yet.

I just picked up my 22 Limited Stealth and opened up the hood and there is no engine cover. Seems kind of weird because there is the little slot at the back of the engine to receive it, but there is no cover. I am not able to take a picture right now but does your new Expy have the cover?

No. Pretty sure they don’t anymore.

They have not put them on since the 2019 model year from my understanding.

I took mine off my 2019 in hopes that it would fit my 2022, but nope. They added a bunch of wires and piping over the top of the engine.

Dumb question, is there any way to tell that the engine is the high output version on the 22 limited max 304a SPP package?

Did some reading on the speed sign with reference to adaptive cruise control. In my findings the speed change does not become automatic unless you have Blue Cruise. I just posted in another spot some details on our purchase two weeks ago on our 22 Timberline. Ours comes with the blue cruise option as standard. I’ve not been able to test out this feature yet.

I will say that going from a 2018 Max Limited to a 22 has been a positive experience so far. I do like going to the 440 HP and the 15 screen with the Synic 4.

As @dlcorbett said they come standard. But if you weren’t sure looking from the outside. Red calipers, and under the truck are dual exhausts that run to the back.
The motors (3.5tt and ho3.5tt) are effectively the same with some very minor differences.

I thought that Blue Cruise was only available on the Platinum?

The Timberline does NOT have Blue Cruise. We have the Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control. It does everything that Blue Cruise can do minus the hand free.

@Pancho258 is there no option in the settings to auto adjust cruise speed based on signs? My 2020 Explorer has it you can only select it while in park. I don't use it that often but it's a nice feature for long trips. I'd be mildly disappointed not to have it on non blue cruise models.

There is in my Limited 303A. I like it a lot but could definitely use some improvement. It’s way too aggressive and seems to not read yellow “speed ahead” signs to start slowing down and instead slams on the brakes when it finally gets to the actual sign. It’s uncomfortable at times blowing into a town at 65 only to have it aggressively brake after the sign. It should be able to read a 45mph ahead sign at a minimum and begin slowing down ahead of time. There are also times it sets a speed when there is no sign so it seems to be using a combination of sign recognition and map data (although in this case it was wrong by 20 mph).

I've noticed that when on Route 50 in MD, everytime it sees the sign for the road, the speed decreases from 55 to 50. PITA.

Other than that one road, I have been pretty happy with it. I do agree with the agressive nature when coming into a town and the speed goes from 55 to 25.

Just finished getting it full ceramic tinted (minus the windshield), PPF and paint correction. Decided not to do ceramic coating yet but may change my mind in the future. One big frustration is whoever put my hood lettering on at the factory was out to lunch. It was over an inch off center and didn’t match the XPEL template. So they had to remove the lettering to do a full pattern. Now deciding whether or not to order new lettering…

Did you tint the rear windows that come "smoked" from factory?? I am waiting on my order but living in FL I am thinking paying to tint the rears also. My 2014 I only did front and windshield strip

at a minimum you should do a ceramic clear tint on the rears. The privacy glass doesn't offer any heat rejection so it will be an oven in Florida. Im in Texas so I will be getting some UV protection on every piece of glass.
