Hi all! Just picked up my 2020 limited. Super pumped.

First issue, car play intermittently working when it wants to. I’ve tried swapping the cable, going in settings and allowing CarPlay when locked, add and remove on Sync 3. No dice. Any ideas?

Recommendations?!
I love getting into the car accessories. I got the weather tech floor liners and the rubber cargo mat already.

Is there any other MUST HAVES? Post some links or ideas.

TIA

Not that i have found yet. Although my 2017 Ford Expedition with Sync 3 ver3.0 (same as our truck) doesn’t do that/have that issue

Those look pretty much the same, measurements are good too, I'll try some and let you know.

I have found that CarPlay won’t activate if the battery is low. During the summer months when I drive a lot more, I rarely have an issue.

Now, that it is colder and I drive less, I find that Car Play will take a while to activate.

I don’t have a means to regularly check the battery voltage (it would be nice if there was a screen that could show it), but I am sure that is the issue. It always occurs when my auto door unlock feature stops working. Also, my dash cam won’t activate unless it has at least 11.2 or 11.5 volts. It beeps on shortly before the CarPlay activates, which also makes me think that it is all related.

For a cargo mat, go with the Ford mats. Just NOTE --> The pictures you'll find on websites do NOT match what they really are. The pictures show a basic cargo mat. But the Ford cargo mat is foldable and stays attached to the rear seat backs so it's VERY convenient as it folds up and down with your seats.

Here's a true picture of what they are --> https://www.expeditionforum.com/posts/415465/

When I had intermittent Car Play issues was because of lint in the lightning port on the phone. Gently root around in there with a pin or paper clip. I’m always surprised how much junk builds up.
