Hello Everyone, Just traded my Sport Trac for a 2005 Expedition NBX. The dealer I was speaking to and ended up making the deal with (Small mom & pop place) didnt know what the NBX was and actually had advertised it as an XLT. Found this forum today and signed up!

So far, I love the Expedition. MUCH more room, lots more power. ALMOST all the features I wanted, (It doesnt have the moonroof) But its Black, Power 3rd row, 4X4, 6 Disc, (wife likes the adjustable pedals), etc..

I am an avid do-it-yourselfer, and have done everything from brakes to complete engine overhauls. (Havent done a transmission yet, but I plan to try it)

In any case, I am looking forward to being an active participant here and wonder if there any local meets in the Kansas City area?

Thanks! Dave

Hi, Expy newb here... what is the NBX?

None of the acronyms going through my head make sense.

It is the expedition version of the fx4. There are underbody skid plates and I think it comes standard with the limited slip rear. I think gearing is a little different. Its supposed to be like an off road edition.

From my research, The NBX does have the limited slip rear end, Skid plates, and Hi pressure shocks from the factory. It also has standard RSC and Traction Control. So far, I love it! KC Dave

I think there is one of those in our local police force. THey have the standard interceptor Expy's, then an undercover/detective/plain clothes Expy that has Nerf bars, instead of the running boards, etc etc etc.
