163k 98. nothing major. usual problems. coils and what not. only big thing was cracked exhuast manifolds and they had to drill out almost every bolt. the guy saved us some money on that though since ford kept shipping him the wrong part so it took a few days so they lowered the price. but nothing major.

did you replace the plugs and coils yourself? Did you have any issues with the plugs breaking upon removal like so many other people? If so, what was the total cost after all was said and done? Thanks, just curious. (I was told that replacing my plugs could run me as much as $1,200!!!)

Just bought a 99 EB Expo with 151k, it's over 152k now but previous owner said no major issues prior, had to replace the dpfe sensor and fix the evac vacuum line that melted against the egr tube. Runs like a champ.

99 xlt 4awd with 5.4 with now 155,000 on the clock.. replaced coils and plugs cause I washed the engine at the car wash. Cats went out (all 4 of them ) custom made new exhaust, with free flow cats ( 2 ) and for right now, cause it was already at home, cherry bomb muffler and exit pipe at the rear bumper instead of behind rear wheel. I also just replaced the alternator. the passenger rear side door lock sometimes acts up.. I think the lock motor is going out. That will be a chore to replace. it is rivited to the door inside. Oh well. It will be bolted when I get done with it.
