Rain drains through cowl onto engine

Wondering if anyone is having this issue and a fix. Rain drains down the joint in the centre of the cowl and between the rubber seals at the back of the hood. It collects on the intake manifold and pools around the ignition coils. I had to replace the no.4 ignition coil due to water getting in under the boot.

I had a similar issue on my gen1 expy (long ago). My work around endedup being a stiff piece of plastic that i set in there and forced the water to drain off to the side! It took us a while to figure out how i kept getting water in there!

It's a 2022 Limited SPP which doesn't have the plastic engine cover. I suspect the cover would divert the water around the engine but seems like a poor design to leave a channel down the middle of the cowl.

Windshield been replaced?

It looks as though the air inlet grilles were not installed properly. There are tabs underneath the plastic grilles.
