removing pillar post trim

it looks like with the right tool they just pry off....anyone ever done this ?
the finish is done on mine after the PO tried to get a coat hanger through
the window seal to unlock the door - severly scratched and gouged the trim.
there are some good ones in a local wrecking yard ...

There was a how-to on the F150online forum on doing this to the 04-08 F150s since I think the 06-08 one had a matte finish to them and ppl wanted the glossy ones, or something like that. I'd assume it would be similar instructions.
