Shedding light

Hello everyone I have got a 2020 XLT with the halogen headlights (low beams) that everyone dislikes, so I went to the owners manual book looked up the bulbs. Then went to Headlight Revolution and entered all my stuff there and ordered H9 size xenon Depot extreme HID kit. I got everything a few weeks ago but with work and everything I did not have time for the install, cut to this last weekend and I go to install it except the current bulbs for my truck are HB3/9005 bulbs. I am going crazy or something?

Hmmm - I just went to HR myself and input 2018 XLT with halogen headlights, and at least one of them came up as a HB3/9005 bulb. Can't explain what you saw - so basically you have the wrong bulb and have to send it back for exchange?

Can't speak to the 2020 owner's manual, but the bulb specifications in the 2019 version are wrong.

Yes I have got to do a exchange for the HB3 bulbs and they don’t have the Phillips capsules for the HB3 only the H9.
I was trying to maintain the OEM quality and reliability.
