Didn't get them put on yet! Probably will try to get them on today - I'll let you know!Any better?
Any updates, same issue and about to take it back to dealership.Didn't get them put on yet! Probably will try to get them on today - I'll let you know!
Just got them on and drove down the interstate about 5 miles. As far as I can tell, it fixed the problem from my short road test.Any updates, same issue and about to take it back to dealership.
I’ve never had good luck with any winter tires over 75/80 mph. While they might be rated for 112mph, unless it’s freezing out, I always have an unsettled feeling over that speed. I chalk it up to the fact they are designed for snow and ice. Not extended use or high speeds. That speed also creates a good deal of heat.I put on my winter wheels and tires - doesn't seem to be much change in regard to vibrations. It's weird because it's pretty smooth up until about 70-75 - hard to tell any vibrations outside of the normal road feel. However, by the time I hit 80 everything is shaking really badly - the dash, hood, all the seats, etc. The steering wheel doesn't shake, though.
I have the same issue (on the original tires). Been to the dealer 3 times for roadforce balancing. Each time it has gotten a bit better, but still vibrates starting around 75. Can't get anywhere further with the dealer because they aren't allowed to drive the vehicle that fast to confirm the problem. I also have a set a winter wheels/tires on order. Should be here this week. Will be interesting to see if there is any difference. I have run winter wheels/tires on all of my vehicles for many years. Never had an issue with high speed balance issues.I put on my winter wheels and tires - doesn't seem to be much change in regard to vibrations. Mine shakes badly over 80 with my 20” winter tires as well as the stock 22”.Has anyone had the rims checked for being true as this appears to be a 22" wheel issue??
Hello All,

Issue
Heavy Front Right Vibration felt throughout the entire cabin.
I'm new to this forum, but not new to Ford or the Expedition (1999,2006,2016,2022) nor other Ford vehicles to include owning 4 F Series trucks, 5 Explorers, and 3 Mustangs. However, I'm a little perplexed with this one. Zero-70 mph we're all good. Once I creep past 70 mph the right front starts to vibrate and gets increasingly worse as speeds approach 80 mph and can be felt in the steering wheel, floorboards, and other locations throughout the cabin. I first took the Expedition back the next evening after I purchased it and I got "We can't duplicate the issue" from the Service Manager. A week later I took the vehicle back and the Service Manager said the front right tire and wheel were out of balance. I drove it home and noticed a minor change (I could now go 73 mph before a noticeable vibration). I notified them of the issue and they said, "Let us research it".
I had already scheduled a vacation with the family and purchased the Expo for such occasions. I set off on 3300 mile roundtrip vacation and felt the vibration every mile over 73 mph down and back on Interstate 95 and every other road throughout FL with 70 mph speed limits.
When I returned home I took the Expedition into the shop on a Friday. On Saturday the Service Manager says, "Our Service Techs don't drive over the speed limit, so we can't duplicate the event/issue. I don't know what to tell you. No other 2022 owners are having the same issue".
Is anyone else having these issues? Can someone point me in the right direction? I though it could be a loose lug nuts, bad sensor for the CCD Suspension System, a bad shock, a bad barring, a rim out of true...
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Rob
My dealer has put 2 different sets of 22" tires and wheels on mine with no changes. The vehicles that the tires and wheels came off of both drove fine at 70+MPH. Dealer has "beat the tires and wheels to death". Now looking into driveline issues.Has anyone had the rims checked for being true as this appears to be a 22" wheel issue??
Did you get any answers??Ford's field engineer came out on Monday to drive my expedition. He acknowledged the vibration and said that he wants to drive a new expedition with the same wheels and tires and consult with some other engineers. So I guess I wait longer now.
Ford basically told me to pound salt. After multiple attempts to fix the problem they decided that the problem is now acceptable. Here is what the Ford Feild Service Engineer said:Did you get any answers??

I am now in the process of requesting a buy back from Ford. If they do not buy it back I will get it bought back with New York State Lemon Law.
