Just got them on and drove down the interstate about 5 miles. As far as I can tell, it fixed the problem from my short road test.Any updates, same issue and about to take it back to dealership.
I’ve never had good luck with any winter tires over 75/80 mph. While they might be rated for 112mph, unless it’s freezing out, I always have an unsettled feeling over that speed. I chalk it up to the fact they are designed for snow and ice. Not extended use or high speeds. That speed also creates a good deal of heat.I put on my winter wheels and tires - doesn't seem to be much change in regard to vibrations. It's weird because it's pretty smooth up until about 70-75 - hard to tell any vibrations outside of the normal road feel. However, by the time I hit 80 everything is shaking really badly - the dash, hood, all the seats, etc. The steering wheel doesn't shake, though.
I have the same issue (on the original tires). Been to the dealer 3 times for roadforce balancing. Each time it has gotten a bit better, but still vibrates starting around 75. Can't get anywhere further with the dealer because they aren't allowed to drive the vehicle that fast to confirm the problem. I also have a set a winter wheels/tires on order. Should be here this week. Will be interesting to see if there is any difference. I have run winter wheels/tires on all of my vehicles for many years. Never had an issue with high speed balance issues.I put on my winter wheels and tires - doesn't seem to be much change in regard to vibrations.
