Temp Disable Automatic Engine Shutdown?

The manual says I can use the Info screens to temporarily disable the automatic engine shutdown feature on a per start basis. I’m referring to the one that stops the idling engine unless you interact with the vehicle, not the auto start/stop feature.

When I loaded a Sync map update the instructions told me to disable it and even told me where to find it in the menus, but it wasn’t there. I am Just not finding that option anywhere in the info screen menus. I feel like an idiot, the manual says it’s in there, but I can’t find it... I don’t need to permanently shut it off in Forscan or anything, just every once in a while like watching a movie in the back or something like that.

That’s where it should be, but it’s not. I also opened all sub menus and it’s not in any of those.

What year? Mine’s an ‘18 and I have no idea what the OP has. I’m just thinking maybe that feature wasn’t ready for prime time on the 18s?

This is almost like the roof bar trim piece....some have them, some don’t.

Why did you have to bring that up!!!! Haha so frigging annoying. My Expy is parked right beside our kitchen window and everyday I look out at that wavy warped mess of welds and am disgusted that they would leave it like that!

Mine is an ‘18 also. I feel better knowing I’m not alone in being unable to find it. Now I wonder, does the engine shut down on its own in ‘18’s and there’s just nothing we can do about it?

What is this missing roof trim issue? I’m new to 4th Gen Expeditions.

Mine is an April 2018 build and it has this option in the menu.

Just checked mine. 6/18 build date, it's there. Very odd.

FWIW, mine is a Feb ‘18 build. No auto off option shown.

My 18 Limited is 11/17 build, I don't have that option either.

Hard to say, but mine is Jan 18 build and, as we saw above, it's definitely not there.
