Timing set install done. Trouble Codes Abound!

I just finished the install of a timing set on my wife's '03 4.6L 2V, and I am having issues. Everything is back together, I replaced the crank and cam position sensors and plugged everything back up. Idles with just a hint of a stumble or a miss somewhere. I put the code reader on it and was very surprised to see codes for injectors 3 AND 4 AND 5 circuits open!

Of course, I have checked harness plugs on all cylinders and all seem solid. Anyone have an idea? Thanks!

Bump/Update: I went through the injectors one by one and figured out the loose plugs from the wiring harness to the injectors (20 years of repairs have broken the little latches on too many of the plugs all the way around that harness. But I digress.) Today's status: Got all of the injectors active, and took it for a spin around the block. Two codes to deal with now. (1) EGR sensor 2 low input. I'll deal with that later. (2) Misfire on Cylinder 1. This is the problem. From my research, misfire is from three sources? Ignition coil pack, injector or spark plug? So far, I have swapped coil packs with another cylinder and swapped injectors with another cylinder, and neither has changed the trouble codes at all. What to do next?

New update: Need some suggestions. Car is running fine, most of the time. As I mentioned above, the engine wiring harness (particularly on the passenger side) has at least a couple of plugs (injector and coil) with the locks/latches broken. They are just loose enough to slip off far enough to give me a misfire (mostly injector on #4). It's fine as soon as I pull the connector off and reseat it. Does anyone have a suggestion for getting those plugs to stay on?

Where are the "rednecks" when you need them? Real easy, use a little rtv silicone to hold the connector on. The more you apply the harder it will be to remove in the future. Just don't get any on the pins.

I have used 3 wire ties,1 around wire,1 around base of plug on injector, 1 to connect the other 2 wire ties.Worked for me plus if you need to pull injector later cut the one tie connecting them together. Sort of like making a chain.

USPS: I was thinking about small zip ties, but didn't get out in the rain today to investigate.

Stamp: Do you mean a ring of RTV around the "male" connector on the injector/coil, then slide the plug down over it?

Use any method that is easier for you. Place the rtv so that it will be between both the female and male portions of the connector once the plug is seated. The amount to use is dependent on how aggressive it is. Usually a little dab will do ya

Thanks, Stamp. I don't know why I didn't think of RTV. Job is done for now (#1 - #4 are good to go).

I went to the junk yard and snipped several 20-30 good pigtails off of the junkers. I spent some time de-pinning the connectors to figure out how to do it. Then started replacing them under the hood. #4 injector was the biggest PITA, but I got it done. Scrap yard didnt even charge for the pigtails. No soldering or splicing needed. Did find a video of a guy that did this and showed how to do the pinning. I can try to find it again if you need it.
