I know the front fender badges on a Mustang have a guide hole that goes thru the sheet metal. I am afraid I may remove the FlexFuel and be left with a hole.

I think only the door badges have that hole but I’m not 100%.

Is anyone 100% sure that I wont be uncovering a hole on my lift gate?

As Jexepdition said, a heat gun is your friend. Once it’s heated nicely, use waxed dental floss behind there to remove the badge. If you’re careful, and you do find a hole underneath you can purchase 3M mounting tape and put it back if need be .

The Traction Control badge on the right side of my 08 liftgate had no holes under it, so I think your Flex Fuel badge doesn't have any. Look for a picture of one on ebay and see if it has pegs on the back.

The Expedition XLT badge on the left side of the gate has two pegs and two holes, as do the door badges on both sides.
