Whats the verdict on XLT/Limited LED head light upgrade?

I have been reading about the Hikari, Alla, and other brand LED headlight upgrades for the XLT, and limited trim levels for several months now...just did a long night drive and realized how bad the stock halogen headlights are...need to upgrade asap. We upgraded some LEDs from Diodedynamicas on our Colorado a few months back and they were great.

Wondering what High/Low/fog light LED you upgraded to:

Any flickering?

I went with Alla for high, low and fog.

Massive difference over the stock Halogens.

I used to run the fogs with the lows when it was Halogens. Now just the lows as running the fogs too would blind everyone otherwise. The lows retained pretty much the exact beam pattern as stock and the original cut off line.

Nice man...which version of the hella and fog did you go with? I went with the Alla 2800lb for $25 on amazon for the fog lights and there better but not enough to make much difference when driving.

Now you need to get switchback bulbs for the turn signals...

Not that I would believe Amazon's system, but when trying to order, the bulbs you have listed for the fog lights state it doesn't fit. Can you confirm this model before I order?

The low is HB3 and high is H9.

Yes, the model listed for the fogs fit with no issue. Ordered mine off of Amazon and yes it says they don't fit. I contacted Alla lighting before ordering.

Install video for the low beams. Highs are the same just right below the lows. Note you don't have to take out the main clip like they do. Just the front panel screws.

Anyways , I’ve been scouring the posts on Led fog bulbs for the 4th gen Expedition. So I purchased some Alla H11. Got them and they did not fit. So I then ordered from Amazon again, and got some JDM H11 LEDs. They didn’t fit. I took a closer look at the oem bulb and it’s a Phillips H8. I just ordered Alla H8 so I’m hoping it will fit.

im wondering if the 2020’s have a different bulb set up on the fogs?
I hope I don’t run into this when I do the high/low beams.

The fogs are the only difference. The manual is incorrect and was never corrected by Ford.

So today I pulled the low beam, manuals again indicated it to being H11. I got in there to install a new slyvania silver star ultra. It ended up being 9005...Lucky for me Auto Zone allowed me to exchange even after package was opened. Installed the new 9005 and fit is perfect.
While up there I pulled the High beam. Those were H9’s. Not HB3’s as everyone says.

I don’t know why or what’s up but Ford changed the bulbs during build. The Expy is brand new with 400 miles which I got from the dealer with 11. Built in March 2020.

Seems like you may have it flipped, top bulb is low and bottom is high? H9 are similar to H11 and 9005 are similar to HB3 as they have the same connectors. I have a Feb 2020 build XLT Fx4 and the only thing wrong was the fog bulb.
