I was wondering if 33x12.5x15 inch would fit on a 01 expedition. my bolt pattern is 5x5 and found a rim that is 5x5 with 4 inches of backspacing. wondering if it will clear my calipers.

thanks!

The bolt pattern on your Ex is 5x135mm, and 15" rims will not clear the calipers up front.

+1 for what skyjacker said... 5x135mm and at least 16" to clear the rotors..... unless you wanna grind down the calipers and rotors to make em fix.... lol.... JUST KIDDING

There are a few wheels in a 15x10 that are made specifically for our body style f150/expys.

I know Eagle Alloy makes one and I think Ion Alloy makes one as well.

These wheels have to stick WAY out to clear the breaks. IMO get 16x10 wheels. There is a better selection of 16's anyway.

15s will work, but not with out aggrivating mods. I did it for a friends f150, and had to grind down the calipers, I dont think I would suggest this to anyone.

For safety sake to ALL, NO ONE should ever suggest for another to trim or shave their calipers on a open forum. That is about the most unsafe thing you can do that directly effects your stopping ability nd the safety to you, your passengers, and the drivers and pedestrians walking on sidewalks.

walnuts4x4, I know you were kidding and all, but others will chime in on it as to do. And they will say a friend did it but not themselves. It is completely unsafe to do.

what about if you throw spacers on the vehicle? will that allow the rims to clear the caliper?

Spacers would only help you with changing from OEM botl pattern to another bolt pattern. The real issue here is the clearance from the caliper to the rim. That is why they came wit 16-17" rims. Going down a size in diameter is a point in which you need to trial fit it before you purchase. I would think that you would have a clearance issue and the rim will not go over the caliper.
