Winter tires have no TPMS so I have to get innovative. 2007 Navigator.

The later ones read each tire pressure and tells you what it is, they evolved but mine makes you look for the low one but I don't need any of it. When the batteries go dead in them everyone is going to have to stop and replace them and the dealer wants a ton of money to do that. It's not just the sensors, it's programing the new ones to the vehicle (if you got the right ones), and breaking all the tires down before they are worn out or look at the light and text on your cluster constantly bugging you to correct it.
I just had tires installed. Asked about new valve stems (used to be good to replace before they failed , old days stuff). Guy said he would check, CAN BE $120 per wheel !!! Turns out he said he screwed new rubber ones into the sensor for $5 apiece. So I'm good for a few more years. $120 a wheel … crapola. I guess the spensive ones read absolute tire pressure, mine are the less fancy ones that only read catastrophically low. Another thing I like about my 2014EL.

the reason for the multiple posts … has happened to me before … if you click on Post Reply and it doesn't finish, you'll see lines flashing at top right corner … if you hit Post Reply again you get a duplicate. I have to close out the Forum and reopen to avoid. fyi

OK thanks, it said I had to wait so many seconds to post so I kept re-trying.

I actually bought an old laptop (dell e6410 latitude) so I could use Forescan but half of the sellers say it won't work on my 2007 Navigator so I have to look into that.

Forscan should work on any laptop running Windows XP to Windows 10. That Dell of yours is spec'd much, much higher than the minimum requirements.

As long as you have the right "Ford" USB to OBD connector, it will run just fine. I paid like $15 shipped for mine on eBay. I put it on a laptop with Windows 7 and the Forscan software + communication with USB connector works good. Next step is to connect it to the truck and play with it...
