Yougin, you are clearly school in the art of liberal logic, twist, name call, and beat down. Well that shit don't work with me. You create these straw man arguments that don't stand up to examination, you keep saying that you pay $2400 more for the EB engine - well that may be the case with an F150 but it's not with Expedition - it is standard and this is the Expedition forum after all. I've not experienced any of the problems you mentioned and neither have my friends who have a lot more miles on their EB engines than I do. And your damned right I spent a lot of money on my vehicle and I did extensive research before I put down my hard earned money.
Keep it simple was okay back in Henry Ford's day but now, nothing is simple. There is nothing wrong with getting all you can out of an engine. I'm going to drive my vehicle until the wheels fall off or I get tired of it and want something newer, which will probably happen in about 10 years. Oh yeah, and I wish my 3 ton vehicle got 40 miles to the gallon, but that is unrealistic. If that was a driving factor I would have bought a Prius. The fact is I'm getting 18.3 mpg on the highway and I'm happy with that. The truck is comfortable and it has all the room I need and the EB is a strong engine. I have 50,000 miles to worry about issues with the engine, if they don't show up by then, they will probably never show up as long as I do proper maintenance.
You keep presenting hearsay evidence from one poor nameless salesman who can't sell the EB engine - I guess he has skinny kids. My salesman at Bob Thomas Ford, Jim Robinson says that the EcoBoost motor is the hottest selling engine that Ford has had in years, they can't keep trucks with them in stock, and he has been there for over 20 years so he's not some wet behind the ears salesman.
You are clearly too afraid to make a decision because of all of these horror stories you hear about the EB. Maybe it's time for you to go back to your safe space, the world is a dangerous place and life isn't safe. I wouldn't want you to suffer any mental trauma.
