Been so busy haven't been around at all lately. Here is the Expedition with the plows on it that I said I would post months ago! Just had our first plowable event last Friday morning so slow year!

About $200 in steel and another $300 for the pump and parts to make. Can't recommend a back blade enough! I do my 50 drives in under 4 hours because of it.

Damn that looks awesome. I could definitely use one of those. We've got tons of snow over the past few days.

Here, i would get paid for plowing the snow away...but unfortunatly, there is no snow...:bawl:
What's the thing behind the car?

@ExpyPlowGuy: can you provide me a link for that?

The box behind the expedition is the back blade. Most trucks only have a front plow and pull in with the truck facing the garage and drag the snow out backwords. With the back blade I back in to the garage door and pull everything out to the street.

There is no link for the one on my truck since it's home built but here is a link to one that is pretty much the same, except it costs about $3000 brand new.

Not easy to get the setup on our generation. The front plow required a lot of custom work on the mount before it would fit because they don't make a mount for 2nd gen expeditions. Plus it needed a lift to keep the mount from dragging on the ground!

I was talking about the rear one. It attaches to the regular hitch receiver, right? I'd love one of those for my driveway and I actually researched the prices a bit last month and they're WAY more expensive than what it cost you to make it from scratch. You've got my respect for building that back blade yourself.

The cylinder and push arm are connected to the hitch. The blade is connected to the frame with pins to tabs welded in. From what I've seen almost all back blades are mounted in the same way.

Down where I plow almost every truck I pass has one these days. Couple years ago you never saw another truck with one, I think the competition is trying to step up.
