Speaker upgrade subwoofer for 2003 Gen 2

I either saw one for the center console or I saw a custom done for the center console...this was yrs ago....but the jl stealth box will fit...disregard the year it says its for and its a 10" sub...you won't find anything readily available for this becuz there wasn't a need and if there was it quickly died out...custom or jl...

I am picking up a center console with some other parts next week.

I'll take some pictures of it.

It may work for an amplifier location underneath the console...

Then build a sub enclosure on the wheel well in the factory spot.

The one I saw gutted the console and I believe it was a down fire design to allow them to continue to put stuff in it...

I am open to either way actually.

But if I have the amp under the console and the box in the factory spot, everything is hidden away.

I like that.

Make sure the amp has enough air to breathe and not over heat...it'll cut off till it cools down...if it doesn't have fans I suggest adding fans

thats a good idea to add fans.

If the amp is overpowered, and under driven, you don't need fans.

1, 10" woofer and 4, 4x8 speakers is not much of a load for a good amp.

Yes...it will still heat up and possibly over heat being trapped in that enclosed area

a $5-$10 fan to ensure your amp is good to go is wise to me...it still needs to breathe and if there isn't enough air to allow it to remain cool even though they "normally" don't overheat...youre putting it in a restricted space...im just suggesting for long term probability of ensuring you get the most out of the amp...I have my amp in the rear left panel and I have 2 fans on it for extra measure due to no air circulating in there

I run 8, 8 inch subwoofers off of one of the amps pictured on my boat with no ventilation and enclosed.

An that is during the summer when it's HOT.

Class D amps may have been around for a long time,
But until recently, they were not a very good option.

The high light of class D is they use less power, they don't get hot...

I own two of them as seen in the pictures, and I have 8 JL woofers in series and bridged to 1 ohm on one amp.

Thats a big load, and that 1000 watt amp stays cool...

so I bought the box off of Brice...

So I bought the factory sub woofer off of Brice, or Bricekin...

Here it is, it arrived today.
Now, about those factory harness wires.
I hope they are there for the sub...

I don't want to have to run new wires.
I don't have a plug to go into the sub amp...
