I don't think it prevents you from putting it in gear. The honking has been a big complaint among 2015+ owners for some time on here, the same people who have also wanted Secure Idle.

The double honk is easy to disable, thankfully. But Secure Idle is a tougher egg to crack. I'm not giving up yet, tho.

I can state for a fact that I cannot put my 2018 Expedition in gear after it is started and the key is taken out of range. I tested it last night.

I for one am thankful for the double honk, at least for now, as this is my first push button start vehicle. After decades of being forced to turn the vehicle off in order to remove the key with my house key on the same key ring. Now with the keys always in my pocket or clipped to my belt, I am scared that I will walk away from the vehicle unintentionally forgetting to turn it off.

How can I disable the double-honk when I get out of the car with my fob in my pocket? 2018 Expedition.

Is there a way to disable the rear windows one-touch up and down features? I worry about my dogs in the back.

Oh sweet!!!! The new one has auto down for the rear!!!! I have always wanted that feature. But I can also see where you wouldn’t want it in certain applications.

On the auto up and down, is it not like the front and built into the button? Press a little/press a lot

Yes it does, but as I get older and have had problems with carpal tunnel, I have lost some sensitivity in my fingers and have troubles with those switches.

I always wondered why it wasn’t on all four, at least on the driver’s controls. It’s all in the computer software these days so it’s not like the motor controller is more expensive, and maintaining 2 separate part numbers for the control switches can’t be very much cheaper than the price difference between the two.

Mercedes has had auto up/down on every window switch for a long time.

I also have a new 2018 Expedition, and my ODB2 adapter is in the mail. FORScan playing coming up real soon. Double honk, bambi mode, turn off the auto start stop, and disable the fake engine noise first up on the mods.

which adapter did you get? I want to modify a couple things on ours when we get it. I would like to get a wifi model to be able to use different devices and not just locked to USB and the laptop. I did a quick search and was immediately overwhelmed with the selection of products and information regarding them!!!!!

I’d recommend getting the OBDLink MX BT. It does both CAN networks right out of the box without any modifications and it’s proven to be the most stable 3rd party VCI I’ve used. They make a WiFi version but I’ve heard mixed reviews on it.

So an Update here..
I've successfully made some changes to the SCCM and BCM, but ran into issues with the IPC (instrument panel). Looks like right now Forscan can't talk to the 2018 IPC, and based on response from forscan dev's, looks like ford hasn't even released IDS capable of talking to it, so it may be a little while before we can change IPC settings. (things like temp guages and menus)

What did you change in the SCCM?
Number of flashes on the turn signal.. went from 3 to 4.

also my value was 7, which seems odd, as most values referenced in the F150 forum were default 6 (number of flashes.), so i went to 9 to get the 4 flashes, keeping the last bit as a 1. no issues .

6 or a 7 in the ? bit allows 3 flashes...see below for the entire code:

Turn Signals - Lane Change Flashes SCCM 724-01-01 xxxx x?xx xx

Change ? to: 0-3 1 Flash, 4-5 2 Flashes, 6-7 3 Flashes, 8-9 4 Flashes, A-B 5 Flashes, C-D 6 Flashes, E-F 7 Flashes
