If you had to name one thing, just one thing that tops it all off as your most favorite part or feature on your expedition, and your most annoying or worst feature of your expedition what would it be?

I'll get the ball rolling

My favorite feature of my 2005 expedition is the fold flat 2nd & 3rd row seats, makes it far more versatile than any other full size SUV in it's time and its helpful to have (my seats are always folded unless I get passangers)

My worst part is the seating position, it seats me like it's a passenger car... definitely not like a truck should. The floor is too high in comparison to an identical year F150

Your turn next!

The worst thing about the Ford Expedition the fax it aftermarket products and companies that create them treat them like they are passenger vehicle and not the capable trucks that they are. Mine's of four-wheel drive yet lift kit, fender flares, aftermarket bumpers, Grille Guards, Etc just do not exist and if they do exist they are way overpriced. I was doing a search on eBay for towing mirrors for my Expedition, and they do make them 300 bucks. While for GMCs and Chevrolets tow mirrors are only $120.

I was thinking about the best feature of My Expedition. I recently drove to Colorado from Southeast Texas and back and while passing a 18 wheeler I look down at my speedometer I was doing a hundred plus miles an hour. Now that seems like a lot, I started out and about 65 or 70 in a relatively quick passing of the 18 wheelers it got going that fast yet I never felt like my truck wasn't planted it to the road. That being said it always feels planted to the road it makes me feel safe.

The best thing I like about my 2017 is the power/torque and ride. Sorry I couldn’t pick just one so it’s a tie! The worst thing about it is there is no Cabin air filters especially on the rear A/C return back on passenger side. I’ve made a make shift filter for it because I haul my dogs behind the 3rd row and don’t want the dog hair to clog the evaporator.

Yeah the seating position behind the wheel is kinda annoying... so is the lack of cabin air filtration

The best thing is even though it has a thin seat, it's comfy. The worst thing has to be working on the motor. Why did they have to bury the engine under the cab. Don't even get me started on the spark plug issues!

For me it’s more utilitarian as the best thing is the Powertrain and drivetrain. I like the 5.4L/6R combo and I like the ControlTrac 4WD system. I prefer it and the way it functions to GM by far. I’d say the worst is fords crap rocker panel design that promotes excess rust.

Favorite would likely be a tough pick - solid 9.75" rear axle is among the leaders.
Least favorite would probably be a tie between engine access and the rear liftgate.

Worst by far is the aluminum corrosion of the hood and liftgate.

Best is the towing capability.

I wanna get it on this, ima do this for my nav and my expy.

09 nav:

Fav features-sound system and drivability. It was so comfy and quiet, esp on the hwy. The seats were also very nice.

Least fav-the sec row space was lacking and interior was somewhat narrow for how big the car was. Also, the gen of nav was the least attractive admittedly.

18 expy:

Fav features-the space, quietness, comfort, and versatility. Its a jacknife and does everything with a smile. Also, gas mileage on the hwy is fantastic when cruising.

Least fav-ride is a bit firm at times. Feels bigger than my nav, but the expy is a better handler. Those are just relative to my expectations when buying, not to competition. Also, the info cluster doesnt show your ac and media info like the 15 - 17 models do.

Best: Towing capacity and handling while towing. Transmission is adaptive. Once it dials in it's very easy to tow with. Smooth ride. The 4x4 in the snow.

Worst: WNY corrosion is eating away at my truck. Paint is peeling bad. Stupid issues like it's enormous appetite for wheel bearings; (both front's replaced twice / rears replaced once.) Had parasitic drain on battery due to rear windshield wiper freezing. Had to take it all apart and regrease it. Passenger/Front door sensor. Part was $45 so I pulled sensor and made a jump wire. Leak in rear differential required pulling the axle. Changing the spark plugs always freaks out my mechanic.

LoL it's not a "let's bash at our expeditions" thread, try to choose one thing and call it your worst part of the expedition owning experience...

Only use Ford or Timken (OE supplier) wheel bearings on these trucks. Anything else is a waste of money IMO.

I agree with the Timken bearings....not so much the rebadged ford motorcraft as I dont have any experience with those

I love the space in my Expedition. Everything from hauling family to hauling soil and materials for a large raised bed.

What I don’t like? Filling the tank. That being said I am not stopping as often as I did for gas in my old vehicle. Spending $85-100 on gas every two weeks with one fill up compared to 70-80 before with 2-3 fill ups.

I have nearly 50K on my '17 and it has been completely bulletproof as it should be less than two years into ownership.

My fav aspect or feature is the man/auto shifter

The worst thing to me, is the noise from open windows.

Simple really....this thing still rocks!
