Received mine last week. And i did not tell them anything but the Front bumper was not drilled and no license plate holder. I live in Indiana where we do not have a front license plate requirement. Not sure if that matters or not.
Is yours that Black EL I see driving around town???

Got my XLT yesterday, sweet ride! Its got the special edition package & 202A added, Rides great! The active-X seats are actually softer than my mom's Limited.

Made it home and it died in the driveway. Sitting there idling and it starts flashing every error code from coolant over temp, to service traction control, then died. Didn't come back on and wouldn't start and I noticed a "grinding" noise coming from the fuse box by the firewall. Its in the upper left corner by the firewall, I assume that's a fuse panel or electrical box. Sounds like a relay tripping constantly from a bad ground.

We could not get thing into neutral! All of the lights on the dash flashing, but the shifter knob was locked. There's no keyhole in the bottom of the console, I tried the brake/gas pedal method found in another thread, looked in the manual, nothing. The dealership called and said on the 2022's it cannot be done in the cab. You have to crawl under the truck on the left side, and there is a lever with a bolt beside the transmission. You unscrew the bolt, push the lever into neutral and screw the bolt back on. The tow truck driver wouldn't do it and I didn't wanna screw anything up, so It was towed to the dealership an hour ago, had to lift the rear and tie off the steering wheel.

I've now been "In production" for a month. Thought that was usually only a few days? This is just beyond frustrating.

View attachment 74402
The sequence seems to follow:
1) Ford tracking site has the In Production button filled but there is no date about 7 days prior to actually starting the build.
2) Within a day or 2 after that you should be able to pull your window sticker
3) When the build actually starts a date will show under In Production, just like it shows under Order Confirmed.
4) When the build is complete the In Production button is checked and the Built button is filled - usually there is a date that also shows.
5) Then you wait for shipping.

A second way to see if it is being built is to look for modules using the ordertrack.app site. If you see modules it's being built.

So, you might check for modules in ordertrack.app. If no modules yet (given the amount of time passed since it went In Production) who knows what has happened and you should probably contact your dealership or Ford Customer Relations.

Yeah, that all sounds like what I'd mostly been hearing, but as with some many of us, things don't seem to be going quite normally.

Never got a single email from Ford, so apparently my dealer screwed that up or something, but this is what I've been able to get from watching the tracker, OrderTracker, and Marketing:
- 3/5 Ordered Limited Max Stealth Performance 4x4, w/ pretty much everything but rear seat entertainment.
- 3/24 Order Confirmed per the tracker.
- 6/16 Tracker says In Production. OrderTracker site says Invoiced.
- 6/17 First window sticker issued with hands-free liftgate delete.
- 6/20 Scheduled Build Week per Marketing
- 6/26 Scheduled Build Date per Marketing
- 7/7 OrderTracker site changed Invoiced date to 7/7.
- 7/11 Rechecked window sticker and some of the text strings at the very top had change, most obviously from "9-Normal" to "4-Rebill." No apparent changes to options or prices.

My dealer has acted like he has even less information. Not sure if he isn't given me the whole story, isn't really trying, or what, but yesterday the word from him was just, "It is still at the plant". Still no modules listed. Still no Blend Date.

now, thats crazy! sorry about your misfortune. Do keep up appraised - consider starting a thread to report on this so others can chime in as needed.

Oh good point! They are looking at it Monday and I'll create a thread in the appropriate section when we figure out whats going on with it. Hopefully whatever it is, doesnt happen to too many out there.

Checked the ordertrack site Thursday and finally switched to In Transit after order placed on 10/26. Never got an email from Ford though. Their tracker shows shipped, but no date. I did call Marketing and they confirmed it’s shipped with an ETA to dealership of 7/21 (I’ll believe it when I see it). Can’t figure out why no date on the Ford site or no email though. I’ve gotten status updates from them previously. Anyway, this will all be an afterthought when I drive it home.

I purchased 3 days ago and my First Responder discount was only $500. How did you get $1,000 discount?

I've had the same experience with my dealership. The guy I'm working with is nice, but I have to pry information out of him. And he never reaches out to me, it's vice-versa. Why am I paying the dealership? Just so they can do a NC inspection and put their dealership sticker on the tailgate?

I'm going to be really irritated if they don't stick to our agreed deal of 3% below invoice.

This process has really shown how little value the dealership is providing in this transaction. I've done 99% of the work.

I don't know. That's what they gave me. I didn't argue. When I called marketing two weeks ago they told me I had another offer that expires July 5. I told them I ordered back in November and he said the dealership can still accept it and Ford will pay it. So that was the other $1000

Almost there! Driving home on Saturday afternoon past the dealership and I saw an Expedition Timberline sitting there off to the side so I pulled in. Upon closer inspection, its ours! It was sitting with a couple other new unprepped vehicles so I'm guessing it came in earlier Saturday, the tracker didn't show it was at the dealer until I checked it for the heck of it this morning. I didn't think it had shipped yet as someone else had said the tracker is marked shipped with no date on it, but even now where it shows its at the dealership there's still no date on the tracker under shipped. I'll bug my salesman this afternoon if he doesn't call me first about picking it up, couldn't do it today anyhow.

The green color looks almost grey from some angles. Thought it was grey at first driving past until I got closer.

Today I cancelled my special order from 2/28 and pulled the trigger on an almost identically optioned Timberline that’s on its way to another dealer. Only differences are it doesn’t have the tranny skid plate or the engine block heater. They changed their mind and accepted my x-plan, so I couldn’t help but take it.

UPDATE:
7/5/22 Production changed to week 9/12/22

Okay, now I’m pissed.

Yep, it would be $6k more for me to get a similarly optioned Timberline off a lot from a dealer that doesn’t care to work with my x-plan.

I was frustrated yesterday when my ETA's changed from last week to July 27th through August 2, but today, I'm actually seeing that my Platinum has shipped. It looks like it's still on KTP's site, but at least it's in control of the trucking company finally.

Damn, that looks so much better without. $200 fine here in Texas, so instead I'm going to [pay even more and] get a custom plate in a color matching the car.

Is a custom, non-state-issued plate legal? And, there are no specifications for how it looks? Or what it's made from? Seems like something I'd be able to 3D print for a few bucks rather than a couple hundred of 'em. They'd be one of various plastics, but could look like anything.
