Horrible Roof Rattle

OMG! The noise is out of control! Take to the dealership a few times. They have done little tweaks here and there but now - it’s worse! After the last time, my head guy at the dealership was in his wife’s expedition and said it’s doing it too! The colder the days the worse it sounds. Now it’s to the point I have to turn up the volume to try to drown it out. It’s horrible! Praying Ford finds a fix to this. And fast!

Year, make, model and sunroof?

That moon roof always does that after a while of not cleaning and lubing up the rubber around the glass. Sometimes the fixed part on the moon roof on the rear has loose screws on the bracket too… it’s easy to fix.

I wish we could order between a solid roof and that moon roof if it really has to be. The truck would be instantly 3k cheaper and the warranty department has one less thing to look at and.

I finally figured out most of my rattle is coming from the plastic cross piece at the back of the first section of sunroof. If i push it tight, my noise goes away. Super annoying though

My panorama roof makes a rattling noise probably twice a year. If I open and then close the glass, it goes away.

Did you find a fix for this? Mine is doing it too and its driving me insane. I would just turn the music up but the driver side door panel rattle too.

Every situation is different. Can't imagine being a dealer and trying to match the conditions under which a rattle occurs.

I have an otherwise very nice Nissan NV200 van which had a front-end rattle I could not locate--it only rattled under certain road conditions and speeds. Did so for years. One day I realized the hood had rubber stoppers on both sides and they needed adjusting. Yes I was embarrassed at how simple the fix was.
