Also, if the tie rod ball joint is bad or going bad normally you would feel vibration through the steering wheel at normal highway speed. Grab the tie rods and if they are not tight then I would replace them. Tie rod separation at speed would not be a pleasant thing to have happen. Please let us know on the outcome.......
Tie rods are all tight. Only rumbling and vibration I get is after starting the truck up and pulling out of a parking spot. Only feel it in pedal and steering column

DO NOT USE FRICTION MODIFIER UNLESS DOIN A FULL DIFFERENTIAL SERVICE!

My 2016 has 39,000 miles on it, has never been off-road, and has never towed. If my clutch packs are shot already I’m going to buy a Chevy

You might want a Dodge then because if I’m not mistaken Chevy is using same trans as ours in several of their newer models.

You should not be making any type of tight turns in 4WD anything. Great way to really bind everything up..
I think the assumption I had and that most people have is that in 4A, it stays in 2H unless road conditions tell it to kick into 4H. The tight turn on dry road apparently kicks it into 4H during that turn.

Running around in 4A will hurt your MPG. No need for it unless the weather is bad.

Cynthia, I'm assuming you're Expy is still under the OEM warranty. If so, what has your local Ford dealership told you what the problem was?
I'm assuming it's the CV axle, but you initially stated the rumbling happened when you made a right OR left turn. Does it still rumble on both sides when you make a turn? If it's localized to one side (a left turn, for example), then the culprit would be the right CV axle. Something to mention to your mechanic...

You could also check to see if your brakes are hanging up. It's possible something is happening after the car sits for a while that causes the brakes to not retract all the way. I've always noticed that, when turning, any clearance issue with brakes is exacerbated. It's usually more of a scraping/rubbing sound, but it could be translating into a vibration/rumbling noise
