Additional Aux Front Fog Driving Lamps

Definately bright enough to cause 'angry' signs reflecting back at me when I light them up. :flamingdevil:

Additional Aux Front Fog Driving Lamps

Yeah, that is the law here too so am cruising for a ticket, but never been stopped for it yet. But it's been a good couple of years like this now, so I doubt I will have any issues unless someone gets their panties in a twist about something else and decides to complain about this just to add...

anyone using limited slip on the front?

Indeed, I still dream about an Eaton E-locker in the front. Of course, I still havent got off my butt to install the Posi-lock I picked up this last winter... ;)

    16inch ION WHEELS on expedition

Absolutely Wheel size does not make a lick of difference in that regard, it has everything to do with overall diametre. It's all about ratios, think of it in terms of rear end gearing: A smaller overall tire will have the effect of numerically raising the gear ratio, as opposed to a larger...

Mystery component, in DS rear frame rail

Ahhh, that's good to know, will have to remember that one for future reference Thanks :waytogo:

Mystery component, in DS rear frame rail

Ahh, ok, that makes sense. I never did see one under the hood and was thinking that these trucks did not have them any more... And Yes tom, a wee bit of the red stuff. Actually, what you see here is by far the worst anywhere on the truck - other than a really bad spot on a very poor quality...

    16inch ION WHEELS on expedition

absolutely 16's will fit. Can't speak to aftermarket 16" though, you would have to check for brake caliper clearance. I know for fact 16" Ford wheels will fit, because that's what mine came with from the factory. Searching around for a local set of 17"'s though, just not feeling the love with...

What did you do to the expy today

fixed the rear diff leak, was long over due. 1 gasket, some RTV, 3L synthetic lube (ouch, $75 just for the oil), 1 bottle friction mod, and good to go. Now not only does it not leak any more, but that acursed off the line shudder is in the past. yay Next up, plugs and cops

    Scanners

Well, if they have programming capabilities, then they would be called programmers, so... no. However, most if not all (at least the ones I have looked into) programmers will provide the capabilities of a scanner as well.

1999 expedition- Total loss of power when I turn the key.

I had a similar issue on my 97 last year. Most times it would start and run fine, but every now and then I'd hit the key and nothing - completely dead. I'd pull the ground cable off the battery, reconnect, and it would be fine for the next few starts... The battery terminals were so...

Can't rech Cylinder #4 spark plug on 1998 expedition 5.4l

Yes there are indeed. Many instrumentation shops do it, we use a couple of different palces here at work, one is a hydraulic gauge shop that rebuilds and recalibrates gauges and many other things - like torque wrenches.

    Multiple Radiator replacements

Thanks for the updates, good information there. One thing I have run into the past with this design of rad, the joint between the rad itself and the tanks can develop very slow weeps around the edge of the tank which can be extremely difficult to find. This particular issue was very common...

new to the site help needed

Passenger side of the engine, hose running from the cam cover to the back of the intake? Sounds like the EGR valve/hose assembly. Just about the most common cause of the P0171 and P0174 codes. Rough idle? P0171, P0174? Here's what you need to check first!!!
