fuses on the wiring prints are listed as F1.*** but in the owners they are listed as Fxxx so fuse F1.101 would be the same as F101

Yes I have checked F101, F102 etc. I haven't got to check for power on those at fuse block.

1) I hope we are talking about the pcm relay - upper right hand corner of central junction box. If you jump that can you connect the code reader to the pcm and communicate?

Havent got to try that yet.

2) Make sure the fuses have 12v on both sides with ign in run position.

Will check that tomorrow.

3) pm me your email address
4) Just for giggles, if you can check fuel pressure it would be nice to know what the cranking pressure is. We need to establish if you have more than one failure occurring.

If I can get a gauge I will check it.

Those look like standard relays in the pics, just need to make sure the replacement relays have the resistor in them.

There was another member that sent me pics of the pc board that used the surface mount relays - can't find the thread or the pics on my computer. Looks like I dumped them after he replaced the fuse block.

I wanted to let all of you to know that
ITS ALIVE

I have had so much bad luck the last few years its
unbelievable. Today while I was working on the truck
I also had to work on breaker box in the house that
started arcing and sparking that melted 5 or 6 breakers
and arced out lugs in box. Took a while to get it replaced.

This evening I removed the fuse panel from the truck,
disassembled it. No burnt or bad spots. Reassembled,
reinstalled and it fired up. Turned on and off over a
dozen times. Ran poorly at first but drove it around
about 30 mins and it runs good now.
I think fuse panel has been replaced. Build date on
truck is 02-02 date on panel is 12-01-04.

Again thanks guys

This is exactly what occurred with the member from VA he had the same problem and he finally took the fuse box apart and after the reassembly it ran this was back in Dec/Jan I had an e-mail from him and he stated expy is and has been running fine

I will however say to you as I said to him If this happens again It could be the circuit board in the fuse box I also recommended to him that if he could find a fuse box at a u-pull-it yard or junk yard to get it as a spare and to install it to make sure it works and then reinstall the current fuse box

It would be much cheaper to have a spare now than have to get one from a dealer when you are stranded somewhere, for the cost of a new fuse box is over $300.00

Since this happened to two people, who did the same "repair", it would seem to be a problem with the harness and/or connectors. You need to really flex a pc board to "reconnect" a cold solder joint. I'm going to assume that they don't do that when removing the board.

To the OP - should this happen again, are you willing to invest some time tracing connections so we can zero in on the failure point?

I had a similar problem with the CJB which I replaced and runs great I also replaced the battery terminals because they were the crappy red and black one's that don't conduct ele. too well... but she's running great now!!:happy107:

I didn't see any bad solder joints on board and didn't flex it while it was out.
Could have been bad connection at connector or fuse. Its running and I hope
it doesn't happen again but if it does I know where I will start looking. It may
have been dumb luck that fuse panel work got to going again but its the only
luck I have had in a long time.
