I'm making my first modifications to this stock '00 Expy ( XLT ), 2WD.

I found what I thought was a good deal on Eagle Alloys rims and 33" BF Goodrich A/Ts. However, on the front there is just the slightest of rubbing when I cut the wheels hard.

I could shave a bit of the plastic that's rubbing (is that the valence?). However, was wondering if adding some lift would be better ( cooler ? haha), and would it stop the rubbing.

I found a 2.5" front coil spacer from Daystar, and another member (Treycool) pointed me to MC Motorsports 3" rear spacer. Do I need both ? If I put on only the front will get the California slide (is that right term ?)?

thanks for your thoughts

Yeah you could use both to level it out a bit.. if you only do a front lift yes yu will be doing the california lean.. ihave that 3" coil spacer it sits high in the back.. if you going to to the coil spacer you might want to change the rear shocks a lil longer.. ihad to replaced mines because it bounced alot and the springs would move out its place.. iwent with Rancho RS5000 there great!

Or you could take and recess the bumper forward as a whole by butting some washers inbetween the bumper bracket and frame horn and bolt it back down, in most cases you can achieve 1" more room with the right amt of washers. And most never see the bumper being forward other than you, and no trimming needed.

My 2wd is a 3.5 inch front lift and 2' rear on 33' tires. For an idea.

But i still want a lil more lift in the front. Cuz it still dips a lil.

I removed the bottom plastic thing on front bumper and a tiny bit of cutting. ZERO rub! :)
