People with black interiors probably don't have this problem, but with my light beige interior the dirt and grime really shows up on the things you touch a lot like steering wheel, inside handles, switch areas, etc. I've found that 409 is great for cleaning the dirt and grime of your dash, steering wheel, and all the inside panels (basically it cleans everything inside except the carpet/upholstery). After I get it all clean with the 409 I follow up with a UV protector like ArmorAll which also gives it a dull shine (the ArmorAll by itself doesn't get up the dirt unless you really scrub at it)

Another vote for Simple Green, use it on everything even as a degreaser at full strength. With 2 teenagers I use a Bissel carpet cleaning canister machine to clean the interior twice a year then treat it with Scotchbrite fabric protector which helps a lot.

I work in a hospital so I'm kind of paranoid about germs and I like how the 409 is antibacterial

Yes it works great on the hard plastic... any dirt comes right off just using a rag and then after it's clean I hit it with some armoural to shine it up and give it UV protection.

I have found that goo gone in a spray bottle takes everything off and leaves a nice shine after it. Doesn't seem to attract too much dust neither.

409 for the inside is better than simple greet

I just used the 409 on my entire beige interior and it worked like magic. I bought the car from a police impound and it was destroyed. So the 409 cleaned and disinfected the whole thing. I at least now have the peace of mind that the car is sanitary.

Simple green is great but smells way too bad for the inside. I once had a 1 gallon bottle spill in my trunk and it smelled up my car for 3 months. Nauseating smell.
