I have a Hybrid Honda that does not alert if you exit the vehicle while left on. It is most often in EV mode when I pull into the attached garage and completely silent as I walk away. I could see how the gas engine would come on a few minutes later in the closed garage potentially filing the house with CO. It's so easy for us to be distracted with other things now, while the double honk may annoy some and I agree it's annoying, but probably something the lawyers see as a potential lawsuit if Ford didn't sell the car with it working.

Just now pouring through the FORscan sub forum and seeing all the interesting and handy things this allows. Not sure I want to invest in the equipment and licensing (even free) just yet, but this post got me to wondering whether any of the changes owners make might void a warranty (original or extended) or perhaps more importantly open up legal issues should the vehicle be involved in an accident and a non factory setting is determined to be responsible.

As a direct result of those contributions I'm finally able to stop ruining my underwear from ******** myself, everytime I get out of the expedition while it's running, and closing the door, with the fob in my pocket.

That's hilarious. rolling.gif

I'm right there with you on kudos to this sub forums principal contributors. Good stuff and THANKS guys!

what i am reading suggests that there is a lot of great info out there for 2018's, but that forscan still may not be ready for 2019's with some of the mods. is that a true statement? i mainly want to disable auto stop, double honk and add daytime running lights.

I just got the wife a 2019 Expy XLT and somehow she has managed to turn off the Auto Start/Stop in the menu without the need for using ForScan to turn it off. Do y'all not have this option in the menu? She went into the Vehicle Settings menu in the Information Screen/Cluster, then went to Advanced Settings, then selected Auto Engine Off and disabled it. Haven't had an issue with the Auto Start/Stop kicking on since then ...... have yall tried that to get the Start/Stop to shut off?

If you dig a bit deeper you'll find that what she turned off was likely the "automatic engine shutdown" that shuts the engine off if it has been idling for an extended period of time. It can't be shut off permanently but turns back on at the next ignition cycle. Check the details in the "Starting and Stopping the Engine" section of the owners manual, "Automatic Engine Shutdown" . It is probably coincidental that you have not seen the Auto Start/Stop kick in; it does not operate under certain conditions.

Hey Not Sure if anyone is interest for a simple Plug and play OBDII solution, but I found one called Auto-stop Eliminator or something. It is featured on the YouTube Channel AutoVlog. I am selling my 2018 Expy. Plat. MAX 4WD on Saturday and will sell this easy OBDII solution no ForSCAN issues for $75 to anyone in Continental US, I paid $100 a month ago for it. Also selling slightly used full 3 row set of WeatherTech Black Floor Liners. They are for 2nd row buckets. Retail $199, yours for $120. If interested PM me.

Hiya everyone. I just changed a few codes on my '19 Expy. I was able to get turn off Auto Start/Stop but now I get the same as one of the previous posters: service charging system soon. Does anyone have a different code to mitigate this? I am using newest Beta release - 2.3.26. Thanks.

I never did get it to work. I just switched it back and have waited to hear if someone else figured it out. It’s my wife’s vehicle and it doesn’t bother her, so I just hit the button whenever I drive it.

Anyone have any thoughts on the missing DDM/PDM fields for a 2019 Expy yet? Have several things I'd still like to do, like the Lincoln Style mirrors etc.

So apparently that error message is because it disables the Battery Management System as well.

I found that the Hyperflash settings for the 3rd gen (it already had zeroes in those spots) do not work for the 4th gen (2019). I had top use the F150 FORscan locations to eliminate the hyperflash.

726-27-01 x0xx xxxx xxxx Front Bulb Outage (0=disable)
726-27-02 xxxx xxxx x0xx Rear Bulb Outage (0=disable)

There is a 'humanly readable' setting for the 'Double Honk while leaving with the key', as well as 'bambi mode' - so those are very easy to change, in version 2.3.28 beta.

I'm about to buy the ODBLink MX+.

I don't really have a working Windows laptop. Will I still be able to make changes with my iPad and the iOS ForScan Lite app? Or do I need the full Windows version?

I want to make sure I can do what I want to before buying anything.

Thanks in advance!

So, I quickly changes the SYNC 3 theme to Lincoln, but wanted the splashscreen to remain Ford, not Lincoln.

However, even with the splashscreen changed to the default Ford one, it shows the Lincoln. Thoughts?

7D0-01-02 8xxx xxxx xxxx -- Lincoln Setting
7D0-02-01 xxxx x1xx xxxx -- Default Ford splashscreen
7D0-03-01 xxxx x3xx xxxx -- New Lincoln Theme

Correction...

Boot splash screen is correct.

It is the splash screen that shows when the system is shutting down that remains as the Lincoln one. Anyone know of a second setting to correct this?

I'm new to Ford with a '19 Expedition Platinum Max and I'm glad I found this thread.

I'd love to change the engine auto stop and get the LCD screen to go back to Android Auto after adjusting the seats.

From what I've read, making changes will cause errors. I'll be monitoring the discussion for a solution.

Anyone know the defaults values for re-enabling stop start? I backed everything, but don't want to erase everything else. Appreciate the help in advance.

Hi, New to the blog.

My Exped XLT 2019 has now "remote start" after installing the perimeter plus but I still trying to figure out the APIM changes I need to make in order to get the remote settings on the dash display.
Has anybody successfully identified this parameter? I will really appreciate any help.

Hey Hey,
downloaded the most recent version of Forscan, and finally i am able to write values to the IPC!!! woot woot two years later.
now have temperatures showing on the cluster (720-07-01 *** xE5x xxxx)

and i also toggled on the forward distance alert feature (720-01-02 xxxx-Nxxx) haven't driven with that yet, but i was able to toggle it on in the menu after that change. (in my case, toggled 7 to B)
always annoyed me it was a feature in the user manual, but not enabled on the vehicle.
