I have an 04 and the advance trac light on the dash is flashing what could be the cause and does it even matter.

Is it just the advance trac illuminated in the info center or do you also have an abs light on? Have you checked for any codes?

No abs light on it’s just flashing on the left side of dash

That happened to me when my left front wheel bearing was floppy enough to cause bad readings from the abs sensor. I'm sure there are many other possibilities for the light.
Usually it is an abs sensor reading the wheel speed. But if that light is not on that is weird. You could unplug one of your front wheel sensors and see if the abs light works. When you plug it back it it resets quick.
