Well the weather was bearable today so I decide to fix some more of the stuff the previous owned bodged together in a really crap way.I am trying to rebuild the hoses to the from and rear heater cores were they had been disconnected from a bad front core.My problem is it is a mess of 3 different sizes of scrap hoses and woo jammed in the end to plug them. All I really need to know is what size hose should I use without the factory quick connectors.I think it looks like a 3/8 would fit over the ends and clamp well ,but wanted to get you guys input first.

5/8 heater hose and some screw clamps will do the trick. on the fire wall do the pass side first and DOUBLE CHECK it is tight and pushed back so that the lip of the metal end touches the new hose. I had one pop off but tightening it fixed it.

Shame that this post got buried. hope I helped.

BTW, if the OEM hoses are gone, get a 6 ft 5/8 hose, 12 or more clamps (can never have too many.) two T connectors and two couplers (just in case, if you ever blow a core you can join the two hoses from that core and isolate the problem to limp home) I could post pics of how mine looks so that you can follow that to get it right.

for clamps, you will need two for the rear core connect, six for the two t connections, two for the main inlet/outlet two more for the front core.. you will essentially end up with this 2X

If you have the rear heater, be sure to take note which hose from it goes where. I thought I did, but after I completed what you are about to do, my rear heat never gets very warm. I assume I must have swapped them.

If it's still not warm, couldn't hurt to reverse them and do a reverse flush while you've got the hoses off.
