I have tweaked my 2017 XLT, activating a Ford brake controller I installed, enabling remote start, etc. But now have a new issue. Sync Line In is failing me, both USB and BT. Dealer thinks an update will fix it, but local dealer has no availabiltiy until December, and next town over is scheduling in APRIL!

I have SYNC with MyFord, 4.2" display. Can FORSCAN update this module?

How did you go about the brake controller and remote start all plug and play and forscan ? I already turned them on in forscna just waiting for the keys and brake controller to arrive

Just pair the key fobs and install the controller in the slot and you are good to go.

Nothing else needed after you plug the controller into the wiring harness. The test is to hook up a trailer with electric brakes and then take a cruise and squeeze the controller tabs to apply the brakes. If that works, everything else should as well.
