But wait, you're talking about just talking on the cell phone. Most states at least a lot of them if not most, have laws about texting while driving but there are many states where you are allowed to talk on the phone and hold it to your head or at least use hands-free. When they passed the law for commercial you are forbidden to have the phone to your head. They need to up the fine for regular class c driver's like they do with me commercial for cell phones. $2700.00 vs $175.00 that would keep em off their cell.

I personally don't support the talking on the cell phone ban. I remember when the first States started requiring hands-free. I have no problem driving down the road and talking on the phone whether it's being held in my head for whether it's on speakerphone I know lots of other people do but I just don't believe in legislating for everyone's irregularities and lack of abilities. There's plenty of people out there that are such poor drivers no matter what they do and even when they're paying 100% attention they still shouldn't be on the road... So. I like to let my driving record speak for itself. I'm almost certain that each and every day and each and every time I'm behind the wheel at least sometime throughout the day I am talking on the phone while driving. I also often text. Most people do they just don't admit it. I do plenty of other things that are technically illegal also but I have an absolutely squeaky clean perfect driving record and zero accidents showing in any insurance file for over 30 years.
So, I like to let the stats speak for themselves. Regardless of what I do behind the wheel or whether I'm talking to a passenger or having a heated debate discussion argument, whatever, I must be paying enough attention to operate the car properly and obey traffic laws enough not to get pulled over and get tickets.
Kind of like how some people could do their job with two days without sleep blindfolded and one hand behind their back better than someone else could do it at their Peak.
