Just wondering if any Expeditions came with a locking rearend from the factory. My 98 Eddie Bauer 5.4 sure does not slip like most limited slip rear ends do. Both rear wheel spin if they spin at all. I am impressed with its traction and ability. I have been around and had 4wd all my life and this one sure seems to do better than normal in the rear. Just wondering if it may have a factory locker. Also is there any way I can look up the original window sticker or options list using my VIN #?? Thanks

I don't think a locker was offered, but limited slip was. Look in your door jamb for the axle code, and post it here, it will tell you what the ratio is, and if its limited slip or not. BTW hello from the Belleville area, and yeah, mine wont spin either, but mine is a4wd.

Hello from Highland. The axle code is H6. I hope someone can tell me what that means. Mine has the A4WD option but I have only run it in 2wd, 4wd and Low.

3.73 limited slip

Below the bar code find a grouping of terms including AXLE. Directly below this word is the axle code:

17 = 3.31 non-limited slip
19 = 3.55 non-limited slip
H6 = 3.73 limited slip
H7 = 3.31 limited slip
H9 = 3.55 limited slip

Thanks. Now I need to find a better driver's seat or some good covers. Mine is tearing along the edge like everybody else's.
