Stupid Ford Lugnuts!

Decided to take care of the infamous ford lug nuts before things got too out of hand. Seller on ebay had 25 pack of Gorilla lugs for $68, i had some ebay bucks set to expire, so ended up only costing $55. I apparently picked the worst wheel first, ended up getting 1 lug stuck in a socket that...

Flimsy lug nuts

Got a flat tire on my 2018 Expy. I didn't realize that on the OEM lug nuts there is a flimsy aluminum cap over the actual nut. When I tried to remove the nuts the caps were either swollen and I couldn't get the lug wrench on or if I did they would just spin over the actual nut. It was impossible...

Acorn Nuts

Couldn't get a wheel off today. Haven't tried before. The factory lug wrench wouldn't work because the nuts had swollen. I need to replace all of them. This sounds like I common problem. What brand of nuts is everybody using? Or people just buying a bigger lug wrench?

Mcgard 24215 Locking Lug Nuts

Gorilla Nuts...have had a set that I've used for years on my three Expys...swapped them off the old one and put them on the new one each time...cost about $120 or so for full set if I recall, is a good investment to avoid roadside strandings IMO...
