Anyone had this issues with a Ford Expedition? Our 2020 Ford Expedition has a moon/sun roof with the inside cover electronically operated by a button above the windshield.
Here's the issue: the thing will open on it's own. It started out when we would drive in or out of sunlight (garage, clouds, etc.), which made us think maybe it had a sensor that was making it open. The dealer said no sensor existed. Then it started opening (on it's own) when we would use other, normal, features of the vehicle. Turning on/off the headlights. Turning on/off the radio. Turning the gear shift into, or out of, gear. Going back to the sunlight, I'm almost positive the issue there starts with the headlight sensor on the dashboard. The dealership has tried three times (changing the motor, switch, etc.) but I don't think they understand, or believe, that the issue is originating from the other functions. It's simply over their head.
Does anyone have recommendations?
Thanks,
Steve
