I think it's time to paint, debadge, and detrim the 14 year old Ex. Just can't decide on a color. It's currently a sky blue. I'm thinking about white, silver, grey, and midnight blue. What do you guys think, any input on how you liked or disliked different colors? Picture of the rig below.

I think a midnight blue would be cool. If you go through the money and time to repaint, I would go with something that looks good, but is different from everyone else.

Yeah I think the midnight blue would look the best. I feel that if you went with silver or grey it wouldn't be as much of a difference.

are you also having all the door jambs painted and the trunk and engine? be careful about what colors you are picking if you arent because when you open these areas it will show and sometimes they stick out like a sore thumb. my suggestion would be possibly adding something to the color you have now, like a metallic flake or a pearl to it. i think that would look great.

alaskan, I think we might. Yours seems a little lighter than mine, but it might just be the pictures. I'm not a big two tone fan, only on some classic trucks. I think mono would look cleaner on an Ex.

I'm just afriad it might be too dark of a color. And any scratch or dent would show up really easily. My friend had a really clean midnight blue Chevy truck, he got a small dent behind the cab and it was pretty noticeable.

Yeah, I'm gonna have it done professionally. Not a Maaco job or anything. I know what you mean, it looks awful if you don't repaint every trace of the old color. I've thought about that too, but I think it's time for a change.

what bumper is that?

It's a custom bumper.

id say go with a closer color to stock to avoid scratches showing... but any good body shop can make any color look good... if I ever get the money mines going to go neon green..lol

It's a Fabtech suspension lift, the bumper got added after the lift. And it's welded to the frame.

I would love to do a snake skin green paint job from the new viper with some satin black thick strip.
