You do not want to dump the crap caught in an oil catch can back into the oil pan. That doesn’t make sense.
Yes even with no water in mine it still has strong gasoline dilution that would wipe your bearings if introduced back into the crankcase oil. As thin and strong smelling as it is I would guess it’s about 50/50 oil/gas.

On my new to me 2016 Expy 118k miles installed JLT catch can. It filled up after ~1000 miles. It was chocolaty looking fluid with some gelatin feeling goo at the bottom. I cleaned it up and re-installed. Didn’t really occur to take some photos but will next time. Engine is running good, no oil consumption that I can notice after 3k miles.
