Peeps with the older models!!! Keep a eye on the seam at the bottom of all your doors! Its pretty much common on most cars and trucks but the older Expeditions have the plastic piece covering it. It may even be holding moisture in.

Thought Id put that out there.....

KWT2000...Dude did you paint your fender flairs black??? Hard to see in the avatar...I believe you had the red with tan trim before. If so post and bigger pic....I have been thinking of doing mine since I first got the expedition, even taped them up with black tape to get a feel for it....

Ya just wanted to put it out there in case noone as noticed. I have a little paint bubble on the outside of the door right at the bottom lip which made me look. About 1 or 2 times a year I go rust hunting on my cars/trucks and take care of anybefore its to late or go back and freashen up old spot that need the tending. That spot on the door is just a suck ass spot and if you dont get that in enough time its to late..
I get what I can off but being that is in a seam you cant get to the rust without cutting a lot off when not caught.
I clean it out and use a industral rust proventer and put it on heavy. Let that sit a few days and rattle can the hell out of it. Let that sit a few days the hit it with the proventer. Lasts about a year till some rust color starts to show again then I just repeat. If you cant get to the rust to get it out no matter what you cover it with its going to keep rusting...hate that sh!!!!tz
