Baker, on a normally aspirated engine, you may gain 1-2 hp, but not much more. Now, if you are forced aspiration, then you can expect to see much more. The intake on our trucks is not really a limiting thing. Ford really did a pretty good job balancing the intake with the motor, with the exhaust. So, if you have opened up the exhaust, chipped the engine (a port and polish would yield better results though), then yes, you might see a bit more of a gain from the bigger throttlebody. But then, you need to also have an aftermarket intake and do a little bit of work on opening up the intake downstream of the throttlebody too.
